About the project

At Red Ironworks, we bring structural expertise to world-class sports venues, creating spaces where fans gather and memories are made. Our work on Etihad Park, the groundbreaking home of New York City FC, highlights our prowess in precise steel installation for dynamic urban developments.

This $780 million, 25,000-seat soccer-specific stadium—New York City's first—transforms Willets Point into a vibrant hub, set to open in 2027. Contracted by JS Steel in partnership with general contractor Turner Construction, we handled the installation of 285 tons of structural steel for the expansive beer garden, ensuring a robust, fan-friendly outdoor area. Complementing this, we installed precast stairs, delivering seamless vertical access that integrates strength with the stadium's modern design.

Our on-site teams executed with efficiency, coordinating lifts and alignments to align with the project's fast-paced construction timeline. From secure foundations to finished elements, our contributions enhance safety and aesthetics for soccer enthusiasts.

Etihad Park redefines NYC sports architecture—we're thrilled to elevate the beautiful game.
