New York, 2023–2024

Red Ironworks was pivotal in the New York State Thruway Authority's massive service area upgrade, fabricating and delivering 1,300 tons of structural steel for 13 of the 27 modernized stations to enhance vital state transportation networks.

About the project

At Red Ironworks, we excel in large-scale infrastructure fabrication that enhances vital transportation networks. Our pivotal role in the New York State Thruway Authority's comprehensive upgrade of 27 service areas demonstrates our capacity for high-volume, precision steelwork under demanding timelines.

Contracted by Banker Steel, Tishman, and ESC Partners, we fabricated 13 of the 27 modernized service stations, delivering 1,300 tons of structural steel alongside miscellaneous components. Our scope extended to full fabrication and installation at the Ramapo and Sloatsburg locations, transforming these key rest stops into safer, more efficient facilities for millions of travelers. From robust frameworks to custom detailing, every element was engineered for durability and compliance with stringent state standards.

This project showcased our streamlined processes, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple sites while minimizing disruptions to the Thruway's operations. By fabricating in modular sections at our advanced facility, we accelerated delivery and on-site assembly, contributing to the initiative's success.

We're proud to support New York's infrastructure evolution and eager to tackle your next endeavor.
